The traveler sees what he sees. The tourist sees what he has come to see.
— G.K. Chesterton

My name is Merideth and I love to travel. As a child, I grew up going with my family to the same coastal beaches each year. Returning to a space with our favorite restaurants and hotels or houses was a pleasure. I was grounded in the security that comes with familiarity. As a college student, I was struck by a wanderlust that I guess I never outgrew.

My husband and I bonded early over a love of travel and got engaged on a two week ramble through France. We committed to making travel a part of our marriage. When a child came along, we vowed to keep venturing even if our initial destinations and style of travel have changed somewhat. The picture is of our daughter Rose on her first cross country flight at just six weeks old. Traveling now is even more fun with an adventurous 10 year old.

I strongly believe that showing children the world helps them to be better humans and that it is possible to take a baby or a child almost anywhere in the world with the right planning and some bravery!
